Our Profile

Sesatha Economic and Livelihood Development Association was initiated in 2005 and at present implement development projects through 70 Community Based Organizations(CBO) in 62 GN Divisions in  following seven  Divisional Secretariat divisions Galle District. Sri Lanka.

Out of the seven DS Divisions, the project implements full programmers’ in Karandeniya and Ambalangoda Divisions. In other divisions considerable number of Community Based Units (CBUs) functions satisfactorily and have been planned to expand the activities to cover the total needy population.

The Mission of the Organization

Our mission is to cultivate lasting relationships with our target groups by developing and
implementing strategic initiatives. This includes conducting thorough competitor analyses,
gathering customer feedback, and formulating comprehensive retention plans. Simultaneously,
we strive to enhance internal efficiency, such as procuring and integrating cutting-edge
technologies, and diversifying into innovative sectors. Through these actions, we aim to not
only meet but exceed the expectations of our clients and stakeholders, fostering sustainable
growth and positive societal impact.

Our Goal

Attain a sustainable and financially viable organization dedicated to serving underprivileged
communities in the Southern Province by operating as a leading, credible microcredit organization and
implementing viable commercial ventures outlined in the following Actions and Operational Plan within
the next five years.

Organizational Objectives

Organizational Objectives

1. To assist SLEDA CBO members involved in agriculture, industry, and other services in enhancing their businesses through long-term, medium-term, and short-term investment services.

2. To implement a comprehensive administrative and credit management system.

3. To introduce technology-based income-generating projects to alleviate inefficiencies caused by traditional business practices of the beneficiaries.

4. To promote member CBOs as accepted and recognized financial management units with
efficient administrative and management structures.

5. To improve networking with other service providers and the international donor community to bolster multidisciplinary socio-economic development activities.

6. To utilize SLEDA assets for initiating service and production-oriented income-earning activities and fulfilling other productive social needs.
